A Spring Fair is held on the grounds each spring (generally the last Sunday in either September or October), raffles are run from time to time, and a trivia night is held one evening in winter. The 2022 Raise the Roof Spring Fair is on! 30 October, starting at 10am, at the OBH. Subscribe to the newsletter to be kept up to date or contact us if you'd like to give a hand.

EdgeFM community radio station operates from studios in what were the Nurses Quarters, constructed in 1925. Contact the station on 6492 4202 if you'd like to join in, present a show or get some training. Tune in on 93.7 FM if you are in the Valley.

Eaglerock Leadlighting is in another corner of the Nurses Quarters and can introduce you to the world of stained glass leadlighting. Contact Kay Dowman on 6494 1300 for more information.

The Bega Valley Textiles are creative, diverse, interesting individuals who meet every week to increase understanding of the ancient craft of weaving and to support people interested in textiles in general. They meet in the former operating theatre on Friday in one week and Saturday the next, and offer free tuition for new members. The Bega Valley Potters is an interest group for people who enjoy making things from clay, learning new techniques and sharing their knowledge of pottery. They meet each two months in the former laundry, now a ceramics studio with gas and electric kilns, slab roller, extruder and numerous wheels (all available to members at any time by arrangement), and conduct occasional workshops and other events. The Friends of the Old Bega Hospital meet in The Cottage, a temporary building in the grounds, at 2pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Contact the Friends for more information.

Other activities, ranging from beekeeping workshops to religious meetings, are held in the buildings and grounds on a casual basis.
