Two things in this newsletter:
- Thanks for all the help with the Spring Fair; and
- Help needed with selling raffle tickets in Bega, Merimbula and Tathra
Our Raise the Roof Spring Fair on 29 October, was a tremendous success, both financially and for the number of people who came.
It was such a great day because of the community behind it.
Principal support came from our major sponsors, the Bega Valley Shire Council and Bega Cheese, and R D Miller also gave a generous donation.
Brett Rogers and his dog high jump and The Hoops with its great music gave of their time and expertise.
Thanks also to Rob Little on the chocolate wheel and Nathan Jones, Jodi Bowler and also Southern Farm Supplies.

Members of the Friends of the Old Bega Hospital are very appreciative of all those who supported the Spring Fair and thank them all.
The day was not only financially successful, but renewed the awareness of all who came as to the heritage value of the building and the hope that it can soon once again become a vibrant community, cultural and tourist centre.
We're coming nearer to that goal with the work the Trust is doing with Sibling Architecture of Melbourne which has put a lot of creativity into its plans for the restored building.
Any help you can give in selling tickets would be much appreciated.
Now there's another fundraiser under way, the $5,000 travel voucher raffle.
Tickets for the raffle are being sold in front of Sportspower in Carp Street, Bega, and in Tathra and Merimbula.
Below is the roster with the dates Council has given permission for. If you could spare a few hours to join the roster you can contact John Reynolds on john.wr@bigpond.com so he can add you. We try to have two people scheduled for each session, so that each gets a break, and to pair up more experienced and less experienced sellers. If you're passing and have a few minutes, you could offer to give a lone ticket seller a break.
If you would like a book of tickets to sell to your friends and family also contact John Reynolds.
A ticket would be a great Christmas gift. The raffle will be drawn at 2pm on Tuesday 13 February 2018 at the Old Bega Hospital.
